Outskirts of Sant Lluis: Completed in 2004, The Retreat is barn conversion standing in 3/4 of an acre in a peaceful rural setting. You can holiday in peace and tranquility and yet be within a five minute drive of the beaches at Punta Prima or Cala Alcafar. Two minutes drive and you are in the hamlet of Torret with its several noteworthy restaurants and the picturesque working village of Sant Lluis, is only five minutes drive away.

A recently built home constructed of Morass stone follows the traditional design of a Menorcan barn. The Retreat is set in a ¾ acre, formally laid out garden with a feature gazebo and octagonal splash pool.

The main entrance leads directly into the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The seating is arranged around the long coffee table and the huge doors allow an unobstructed view into the garden. TV receiving UK Freesat channels and a DVD player for films and CDs is provided. The fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, an electric oven, a gas hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle.

Beyond the kitchen there is a wood burning stove and the indoor dining area with seating for four. The high ceilings into the roof with electric fans help to keep the whole area cool.

There are two comfortable bedrooms that both have canvas and wood wardrobes with hanging and shelf space. Both rooms have a dressing table and bedside light. One room has twin beds and the other has a double. The shower room has a walk in shower, bidet, hand basin and WC. The utility room is separate with an automatic washing machine. All rooms in the house have overhead fans. For outside dining there is a barbeque terrace, a dining table with an umbrella and seating for four. The gazebo can be used to enjoy the outdoors whilst being sheltered from the midday sun.

Sun loungers are provided and you have plenty of space to decide where your ideal sunbathing spot will be!

The octagonal splash pool is raised on wooden decking and measures 6 x 4 metres at its widest points, it is a constant depth of 1.2 metres. The pool is entered by wooden steps and an internal ladder. In addition there is a cold outside shower.

This holiday home is an ideal choice for those who like to be off the beaten track and yet still within close reach of the amenities we all enjoy.

Sant Lluis: In the local working village of Sant Lluis, less than 5 minutes by car, there are numerous supermarkets, bakeries, banks, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, estate agents, a pharmacy, a Church, Police Station, a windmill, an Internet café, Sports Hall and shops selling a wide variety of personal and household goods.

Mahon (Maó): The Capital City and the airport are 15 minutes drive.
